Can you check Premium Bonds by name?

Short answer
No. A public Premium Bonds checker cannot identify a holding from a name alone. You need the holder's number. If you have lost it, recover the record through NS&I rather than entering personal names or addresses into third-party sites.
Why a name is not enough
Names are not unique, personal holdings are private, and Bond records may include old names or addresses. NS&I's public prize checker therefore uses the Premium Bonds holder's number. This independent site follows the same safety principle and does not ask for your name.
How to recover your holder's number
- 1. Look for a Bond record or an existing NS&I online account.
- 2. If you know the Bonds exist, ask NS&I for a replacement Bond record.
- 3. If you are unsure whether you still hold Bonds, use the NS&I Tracing Service.
- 4. Once you have the holder's number, check recent and unclaimed prizes through NS&I.
Protect your information
Do not post a holder's number, Bond number, address or prize details in a public forum. When using this site, the numbers stay in your browser. For account recovery or a complete prize history, use NS&I's official channels.

Where can I find my Premium Bonds holder's number?
NS&I says it appears on your Bond record and in your online Premium Bonds account. It has 9 or 10 digits, or 8 digits followed by a letter.
What if the Bonds were bought for me as a child?
If you cannot find the record, use NS&I's replacement Bond record or Tracing Service route. Include any previous name or address details NS&I asks for.
